In this role, you will be part of a team building web services and a framework within it; positioning our platform for continued expansion and growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful web services that enable open access to configure, manage and access our analytics data platform.
- Contribute toward the on-going de! velopment of our web services patterns and best practices.
- Expand, extend, re-factor back-end code to support the needs of our web services in a manner that achieves the highest levels of quality and performance and facilitates maximum reuse.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop APIs and data services that facilitate access between our analytics data platform and web services.
- Collaborate with the extended product team on product development through all phases of the development life cycle.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement; looking for ways to improve the process of developing and releasing quality software.
- Design and write production-quality code to meet aggressive iteration goals.
- Research and remain current on new tools and technologies.
Required Skills/Education
- BS deg! ree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3+ years e! xperience developing in C# or other OO languages, with a solid understanding of OO Design
- 1+ years experience developing high-performance and highly available web services
- Strong experience with modern internet APIs, protocols, and patterns including: REST, JSON, XML
- Proven success creating service frameworks and libraries at true enterprise scale
- Embraces a test-first development approach, leveraging unit test tools such as NUnit
- Enjoy working in an agile development environment with aggressive release schedules
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

This position operates in a team-oriented environment. As a result, the incumbent must build and maintain strong and effective working relationships internally with product development and client-facing teams.
Supervision
This is an individual contributor position reporting to the manager of software development.
Working Conditions
- This position is located in downtown Portland.
- Travel requirements are minimal.
- Majority of time is spent working at a computer.
- Incumbent must pass a background check.
