Infogroup is looking for software developers to work on its cloud-hosted data platform, used for the acquisition of massive, real-time, and location-based data sets. All applicants must be passionate about Big Data and building highly scalable systems. They will be working on creating features that improve the capabilities of its local business directory, improving data quality and enabling the creation of new, real-time data sets. Information from Infogroup’s directories are used in a variety of consumer-facing products, including high profile search engines, car navigation systems, and mobile applications.
Essential Job Functions:
1.Developing scalable processes for the ingestion, processing, and distribution of large data sets
2.Designing and planning new features
3.Developing features to spec within time estimates
4.Writing unit and functional tests
5.Developing methods for improving the quality and accuracy of data

1.Deploying to hosted environments on a regular basis
2.Debugging basic operational issues
3.Working with Opscode Chef
4.Creating basic user interfaces using HTML/CSS/Javascript
