Job opening - Web / Mobile Application Developer at Westlake Design (Indianapolis, IN)

We're looking for a developer experienced in web or mobile application development who has the drive to go from good to great. You will work under the lead developer and be involved in all aspects of the development process ( client-side, server-side, support, etc. ). We will expect you to participate in brainstorming, scoping, and prototyping. This person needs to be a self-starter who thrives in a start-up environment.

About Us

We are a lively creative team of both designers and developers. We work with ad agencies, Fortune 500 companies and dozens of area businesses - both small and large - to develop creative and effective application solutions. Our environment is relaxed (sometimes too relaxed), but we have fun and we deliver. We offer an environment that fosters personal growth and creativity.

Requirements

+ Minimum 2 years professional programming experience in any object-oriented language
+ Experience in front! -end development with HTML/CSS/JS
+ Experience in server-side development with PHP or Rails
+ Familiarity with web frameworks and the MVC approach
+ Comfortable in UNIX-based environments and with using source control

Our Development Environment

We primarily work on the Mac platform and host sites on our own Apache web servers. Our primary method of source control are Git. We take an iterative approach to development and try to remain as flexible as possible all the way to completion.

iOS Development

Experience or interest in the iOS platform is a bonus but not a requirement. Whether you are a veteran iPhone/iPad developer or just a web developer with a curiosity about the platform in general, we may have a place for you here. If you are a web developer looking to expand your skill set with a little bit of Objective-C than this could be a great opportunity for you to do so.

How to A! pply

Send your resume, cover letter, and 3 to 5 exa! mples of your work to development@westlakedesign.com. Feel free to include any online code samples such as on Github or StackOverflow.
