Job opening - Integration Engineer at The New York City Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications (New York, NY)

·Manage overall analysis and design of integration solutions;


·Work with business analysts to ensure integration solutions meet business requirements;


·Manage the designing, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of software modifications;


·Oversee testing of software to ensure that boundary conditions, linkages, and processing options are confirmed;


·Provide management support and expertise for integration technologies and processes;


·Generate Java code;


·Apply best object oriented development practices and industry and DoITT standards;


·Develop interfaces with legacy systems that communicate with the integration hub;


·Oversee configuring and testing adapters to ensure successful relay of data;


·Manage enhancements to ensure 24/7 availability;


·Resolve issues relating to ! the Datashare broker environment, security gateway, Weblogic, BPM, agency adapter platforms, and the associated applications relying on these environments;


·Lead design and code reviews and options;


·Oversee impact assessments and design options;


·Provide feedback regarding system requirements;


·Oversee the development of design documents;


·Oversee the research of new technologies related to service oriented architecture and application integration;


·Prepare technical reports for executive management and manage special technology projects as assigned.


Hours/Shift: Day - Due to the necessary technical management duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to be on call and/or work various shifts such as weekends and/or evenings.
