Job opening - Programmer Analyst Sr at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA)

Wharton Computing's award winning Learning Lab (www.wharton.upenn.edu/learning) is looking for a web developer to join the team. The position will be responsible for the development, monitoring (both in-class and out), and maintenance of business simulation software. The Programmer Analyst Sr will manage their own projects working with professors to develop learning simulations. Responsibilities include providing support, occasionally after business hours. The Programmer Analyst Sr must ensure adherence to technical, quality assurance, data integrity, and security standards. 

This position requires an ability to get things done, devotion to teamwork, an eagerness to learn about different domains, and a passion for software development. We welcome applicants with web-development experience in any language. 

In addition to the above, the employee will be responsible for project management, client communications, technical writing and applying! best practices in various software development methodologies. The employee should be experienced with: version-control, automated testing, code reuse, code refactoring, and programming frameworks. The employee will be responsible for coordinating their own projects, creating documentation, and conducting game-runs. The employee will be responsible for making sure there are automated tests for their work, and that they leverage appropriate programming frameworks.
