Job opening - Sales Engineer - Be the Technology Expert on a Enterprise Software Sales Team! at Talend (Burlington, MA; Los Altos, CA; Tarrytown, NY) (telecommute)

Purpose:


Sales Engineers work individually and in cooperation with the sales team to provide technical answers to their customers’ needs. To be successful, they should be knowledgeable in disparate technologies and environments, very flexible, and willing to travel up to 25% of the time.



Responsibilities:


-          Work with Direct and Indirect Sales teams to manage the technical aspect of their pipelines with a clear end-goal of bringing new business to Talend.


-          Demonstrate the capabilities of Talend’s products so that prospects are convinced to choose Talend as a technical solution for their business problems.


-          Identify needs and requirements of customers and prospects quickly and accurately so that demo! nstrations are customized to the customer’s specific interests.


-          Perform data and applications integration design and development, technical product assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and functional requirements


-          Work with the Marketing team for events and to enhance demos, and collateral documentation.


-          Perform information systems needs assessment, information gathering and recommend appropriate business systems and IT infrastructure for Talend’s customers.


-          Provide product presentations, architecture reviews, application discussions and prototype development as needed.
