Job opening - Senior Manager, Vendor Management -Jewelry at Amazon (Seattle, WA)

Amazon.com is looking for a driven, experienced business leader for our Jewelry business. The role includes The role includes P&L responsibility over the Jewelry retail business, managing a team responsible for vendor relationship management and negotiations, driving sales/promotions, pricing and cost improvements for the business on Amazon and endless, as well as improving overall efficiency of the organization. The candidate would be responsible for meeting revenue, margin, profitability, brand/selection expansion, in-stock and process/efficiency improvement targets. Additionally, the candidate will play a leadership role outside of the candidate’s direct team in areas such as operations, retail systems, and process improvement. This is a key leadership role in a fast growing and dynamic Amazon category, with a lot of growth opportunity and the chance to drive a best-in-class customer experience.

The ideal candidate will excel in analytics, effectively manag! ing people/organizations, data-driven decision making, process improvement, and negotiation/vendor management. The candidate will have proven experience delivering results both within and outside his/her organization. The successful candidate will utilize and expand skills in e-commerce business management, vendor negotiations, leading a team and ultimately in running a large retail business.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and lead strategy for all vendor negotiations on an annual basis.
  • Exceed financial targets: revenue, margin, and contribution profit.
  • Deliver brand and selection expansion targets for Amazon and endless
  • Drive improved in-stock levels and Retail system adoption
  • Develop and lead weekly, monthly, and annual business reviews
  • Cross functional collaboration on necessary systems and processes to support business needs and deliver cost/efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and lead team of Vendor! Managers.

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • !
  • 7+ years of relevant retail leadership experience
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
  • Experience managing senior direct reports

  • Relevant senior level experience in retail, operations, finance and/or business management, with a proven history of owning and delivering results
  • Proven experience leading teams & cross-functional projects
  • Proven negotiating skills, influencing abilities and vendor management experience
  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Online retail experience preferred
  • MBA preferred
