What we're looking for
The successful candidate will embrace our design precepts and will be a collaborative team player able to communicate her/his ideas with colleagues and management.
We are looking for the person who can work in a fast-paced environment and has a strong grasp of cutting edge languages and technologies.
The candidate must be able to work closely with the production and product management teams and meet fixed deadlines governed by the television programming schedule.
Projects may include games, Facebook, Twitter and other social activities, third-party API integration, reporting, log analysis, build scri! pts, cron jobs, admin tools, Java, python, Javascript and compelling user interface development.
Qualifications:
- Java, JSP, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Linux, Shell scripting
- Working knowledge of Tomcat, Spring MVC and Hibernate
- 4+ Years product software development
- Knowledge of Eclipse, PHP a plus
- Experience working with source control systems
- Knowledge of open source software
- Understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Design
- Experience with databases
- Experience with Redis a plus
- Experience with SOLR a plus
- Web development best practices
