Job opening - Senior Software Engineer at N2uitive (Seattle, WA)

About You

You work at a big company, and you’re a rock star there. You like the comfort and stability it provides, but frequently find yourself bored and/or frustrated. You cringe thinking about the grueling hours and frenzied pace of the startup life…

  • You’re tired of long development cycles and death marches.

  • Behemoth teams and lots of project churn bum you out.

  • Some of your best ideas never see the light of day in a political and bureaucratic environment.

  • You’re bored having used the same language and technology for the last 5 years.

  • You’re too busy to disseminate all the knowledge you’ve gained from a conference or training to the rest of the team.

  • You’re discouraged by the amount of time it takes to effect real change on your team.

  • Your books are all out of date, and you’re still waitin! g for corporate IT to patch your machine.

  • You wish you could just work from home once in awhile.

  • Your company exists to serve and satisfy only its shareholders.

  • You’ve never met, let alone worked with the CEO.

You’ve thought about jumping ship for a startup, but…

  • Equity’s not that appealing if the company never gets off the ground.

  • VC dollars come at the cost of self-direction.

  • Generating demand for a product is exhausting, and you’d rather focus on building quality applications that meet a real need.

  • Users abandon consumer applications at a whim, and you want people to actually use what you’ve built.

  • Ferreting out an uncharted domain is like sailing without a compass.

  • Working long, unpredictable hours sounds like a nightmare. You have responsibilities, and a life, for crying out l! oud.

  • The market drives you to deliver something ! before you really feel ready.

  • Razor scooters and beer pong aren’t exactly your idea of fun anymore.
