Job opening - Senior PHP Developer at Interactive Data (New York, NY)

Interactive Data is looking to hire a senior PHP Developer. This is a full-time, internal, and direct-hire role in the New York, NY area.  Candidates outside of  area are welcome to apply, but will need to relocate a commutable distance from Lower Manhattan.


The chosen candidate will join a development team responsible for developing a fixed income reference and market data client website. The system will provide users with in-depth information around the fixed income instruments evaluated by Interactive Data.  This project is considered amongst the top initiatives for Interactive Data in response to evolving regulatory mandates that require enhanced transparency into how assets are valued when held as investments.


The candidate will be capable of proposing and documenting software design, analyzing requirements, and presenting implementation options. The candidate should understand the full software development lif! ecycle (SDLC), be capable of analyzing requirements, be detail-oriented, embrace development best practices, and communicate clearly and effectively with peers, users, testers, and supervisors. The candidate must be hands on, capable of analyzing existing code, writing new code, testing, debugging and production support.


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Developing code for the targeted environment as well as participating in architectural discussions that are relevant to their domain of expertise or responsibility.

  • Proposing and documenting software design, analyzing requirements, and presenting implementation options.

  • Understanding the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Embracing development best practices, and communicating clearly and effectively with peers, users, testers, and supervisors.

  • Hands on, approach analyzing existing code, writing new code, testing, debugging ! and providing production support.
