If you are obsessed with Rails and specialize in high-traffic, SaaS companies, we want you to develop our platform. You love test-driven development and are the type that takes pride in your deliverables. We are using all the newest toys – the latest versions of Ruby and RoR, agile development, paired programming, and TDD. We’ve got some interesting projects in which you can design and implement products from scratch.
The People
Our VR people want to grow, they want a career, and we give them that. A whopping 40% of our people have been promoted over time, and many a few times!
Families come first here and although we work hard and smart, we don't work until we crash and burn. Many of our significant others and children are honorary VR volunteers and we like to get the kids in the office on "take your kids to work day" – grilled cheese on the house!
Strap your fee! dbags on, we've got 'Bagel Mondays', organic fruit deliveries, quarterly employee-run lunches and end of week libations to name a few. Every quarter we have offsite happy hours at places like the Thirsty Bear, Supper Club, Nova, Infusion Lounge, Temple, and Golden Gate Park.
The Community
We also think it's important to give back to the community. Every quarter everyone is invited to participate in a volunteer event. Past events include Homeless Connect, San Francisco Food Bank, and Hands on Bay Area projects. We also match employee donations to non-profits of their choice and 'drink and donate' by holding regular donation drives at our parties.
