Sales of products by third-party sellers on our websites represent more than one-third of units sold, and the Seller Services business is growing faster than our Retail business. As an organization, Amazon’s North American Seller Services is uniquely highly influential by coordinating across Amazon Customers, Amazon Category teams and Amazon Sellers. We are a business development organization; we drive growth for over 2MM Amazon Sellers through business intelligence, cross-selling efforts and integrated Account Management. We are successful by focusing on aggressive growth for our Sellers’ businesses.

Amazon Services is looking for a highly technical and entrepreneurial profess! ional to help present compelling Amazon product technology to key partners and sellers. We are leveraging Amazon’s eCommerce and merchandising technology to build industry-leading products that enable sellers to sell their products to Amazon’s customers and their own customers.

You will serve as the “product expert”, representing all aspects of our product technology to the sales team, key partners and customers. You will drive partner/customer requirements and challenges into the product development cycle.

The ideal candidate has experience driving discussions with external partners and sellers and will leverage their technical background to easily interact with and give data-driven guidance to product teams.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain deep familiarity with current and future product features and the capability to serve as an internal and external evangelist.
  • Determine industry-lea! ding product features to drive differentiated sales based on d! irect and partner sales experience; collaborate with other teams to drive inclusion of features into product roadmaps.
  • Develop technical sales and marketing content.
  • Develop scalable technical web development support for key partners working with the product team, technical account managment and the Seller onboarding team.

  • 2+ years technical sales experience and/or 4+ years software development experience.
  • Experience with web application technologies (i.e.: HTML, CSS, JSP, XML, AJAX, Javascript) and databases.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • 4+ years of successful technical sales experience in the eCommerce, retail technology, or software industries.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • An ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Math background preferred.
