The Senior Manager, Marketing will serve as the strategist and architect responsible for driving the Amazon Fashion customer experience. He/she will manage the Site Merchandising and Marketing Product Manager teams that determine what the customer sees on category pages and through all internal marketing vehicles. The Senior Manager will also be the internal champion for the Amazon Fashion customer, serving as the point of integration among the vendor managers, editorial, creative, product management and! site merchandising in order to define how the customer views and interacts with our product.
This role involves considerable scope and complexity; in addition to managing diverse teams, and driving new site and product features, the successful candidate must have the ability to leverage sophisticated data analysis to measure the potential or actual business impact of new functionality or features on the customer experience.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Set, validate, and institutionalize merchandising standards and processes for the Shoes and Clothing categories, maintaining a clear, consistent editorial voice across those areas.
- Oversee and lead the execution of all daily site content refreshes, social media projects, email marketing campaigns, and promotional launches.
- Conceive, propose, and sell new ideas, strategies, and concepts, and guide those projects to completion, taking full ownership and responsibility for succe! ssful delivery.
- Devise and gain buy-in for creative so! lutions that meet both business and customer needs.
- Drive large-scale, complex or cross-category customer improvements and work on new ideas to reinvent the shopping experience.
- Propose, plan and execute marketing programs, new features, and store improvements with minimal oversight, partnering with business and technical teams to achieve project goals.
- Identify the risks and potential ROI for a project and in making tradeoffs.
- BA/BS in marketing, business or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in strategic marketing and traffic/acquisition for retail
- Experience leveraging marketing and customer behavior metrics to drive business decisions
- Experience hiring, mentoring and developing high-performing teams
- MBA or 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Softlines category experience preferred
- A demonstrated track record of successful project management and experience lea! ding marketing campaigns from development process and conception to design and through to successful completion
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills; ability to craft messaging and successfully present to executive management
- Ability to influence at all levels of an organization
