Job opening - Financial Application Engineer at Two Sigma Investments (Houston, TX)

We are seeking an exceptional application engineer with excellent problem-solving skills to join our innovative development team in Two Sigma’s Houston office. In this role, you will develop and improve the financial software packages that enable our world-wide trading operations. You will provide internal and external solutions, working with users to determine requirements for software enhancements, as well as with outside vendors to resolve bugs, perform upgrades, and maintain systems. You will also write programs to connect software packages to internal and external data sources.

Candidates will have a bachelor’s degree from a top university in computer science or an engineering discipline. Candidates must demonstrate strong coding abilities in Java/Linux, and experience using SQL. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for producing accurate results are required. Familiarity with SharePoint Web Part development is a plus.
