Exciting and well-funded medical simulator start up seeks a Project Manager to own the overall management and leadership responsibility for three small project teams. The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for waterfall R&D, Scrum Product Engineering team management through Jira/Greenhopper/Confluence. The TPM is also responsible for overseeing educational content projects and process. You must have two-years Jira experience, managing agile teams to apply for this role. Seasoned project managers with over 10 years experience will interview you.
The TPM is responsible for taking product requirements, co-authoring technical specifications, WBS, defining project plans and maintaining living documentation pertaining to Engineering and Publishing.
The Project Manager will work with:
1) Service providers/vendors comprising Platform and associated integrations through API/SDK.
2) Engineering resources re! sponsible for Web Application, API and Web-service development.
3) Cross-Organizationally with Executive, Product, Marketing and Content staff.
Responsibilities
Technical project management of web application and software product development
Manage development, integration, and triage backlogs for software development, web development and platform project(s)
Must possess established record of applying PM best practices, tools, techniques and methods that have resulted in several projects being executed successfully, meeting scope/time/budget expectations
Will be responsible for Enterprise Service Bus, Service-Oriented Architecture project(s)
Accurately develop technical specifications with engineers, working from project requirement documents
Ability to develop scope management plans and work-based systems for cross-functional projects, monitor scope change alternatives and timin! g/impact with stakeholders and optimize the process to integra! te scope changes
Assist in the development project budgets
Employs QA best practices and standards defining, collecting, and interpreting metrics and diagrams (Traceability, Unit/Regression Testing)
Facilitate status reviews with all stakeholders updating project status and clarifying roles and responsibilities developing accurate, detailed consolidated reports
Develop resource plans that align project needs and team members' skillsets while focusing on project objectives
Possess experience developing risk mitigation and contingency plans. Have a history of leading risk identification processes to develop project specific mitigations and contingencies and updates risk plans as conditions warrant and consider risk during the change-management process
Ability to manage change control and refine scope statement appropriately
Experience managing multiple high-risk, high visibility, mission-criti! cal and strategic cross-functional projects.
