Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia is seeking a developer who has experience in designing, planning and implementing software projects for high traffic Internet sites and mobile platforms from end-to-end. This is a role with a fantastic growth path. The developer will work directly with web designers, front-end developers, project managers, DBAs and business owners to implement high-performance dynamic and interactive web-based applications in a fast-paced, mission critical environment. Focus on server-side technical design and implementation of complex, strategic initiatives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Brainstorm ideas, do research, remain current with industry trends and best practices, investigate and present options and collaborate with colleagues on continuously developing new and improved solutions for the MSLO brands in the digital domain.

• Perform application development daily using a strong background in web conte! nt management systems, object-oriented design, application architecture and creation of and adherence to best practices. Drupal, PHP and general application development experience will be heavily relied upon.

• Solid experience in working across the organization and transforming customer business requirements into comprehensive solutions using the appropriate methods, tools, and technologies is a must.
• Strong communication skills with business and technical team members
