Systems Engineer wanted for a 4-6 month contract to tackle various infrastructure projects for a financial services firm located in NYC. The performance on these projects will determine if the successful candidate will be used on future projects. Rate commensurate with experience.
- Configure DFS server, setup replication, and move all network usage to DFS servers
- Define and deploy a high-reliability, secure, usable hardware stack using a colocation vendor
- Backup storage device installation and configuration
- Move our remote users (in Singapore office) from VDI to local workstation usage
- Virtualization and migration of FTP Server
- Retire server - remove DNS, DHCP, and AD role and migrate those services to new server
- Setup and secure wifi connection for guests
- Secure Active Sync (document remote wipe process and device password/encryption policie! s)
- Upgrade Antivirus solutions for desktops and servers
- Finish implementation of Monitoring/Alert plan
- Migrate Sharepoint to VM/SAN, upgrade to Sharepoint 2010, and replicate Sharepoint for Singapore
