AmazonLocal is an exciting new business that offers daily deals to Amazon customers from local merchants. We are looking for exceptional software developers for our Merchant Systems team specifically focused on Merchant Discovery and Onboarding. This team will be responsible for building software that will help our Sales team discover local businesses to add to the AmazonLocal selection, and enable these businesses to onboard and make them successful in offering great deals to our customers. Some of the challenging technical problems in this space include extracting structured-data from unstructured-content, building crawling infrastructure, automatic classification and matching.
As part of this team, you will drive projects end-to-end, collaborate on product definition with business teams, architect and implement the technical solution, and measure its success. You will work with senior management and play a key role in ensuring the Amazon c! ontinues to reinvent itself. You will be working with a talented team of technical professionals to build highly scalable customer-facing systems.
AmazonLocal develops applications using the latest in front-end and back-end technologies. We write high quality, well-tested code and maintain a very low operational overhead that allows us to focus continuously on delivering exciting new functionality for our users. We utilizes the latest in agile and test-driven development methods and tools.
