We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to help us scale the company to the one's like Twitter or Facebook. You will be working with massive amounts of data, dozens of servers and growing that number to hundreds, real-time data and direct user's feedback. This is a hands-on job that will make millions of users around the world happy.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily monitoring of system activity including traffic, error conditions and logs.
- Work with other team members as required on various tasks and projects.
- Make recommendations on technology solutions and direction.
- Applying consistent operation system and software updates, configuration changes.
- Planning and executing recurring system maintenance tasks (ie operation system and software updates), conducting system security audits.
- MySQL and MongoD! B installation, maintenance and performance monitoring. Optimizing heavy queries with developer to ensure best performance.
- Monitor and maintaining user data storage and distribution systems.
- Making sure 500px mail systems are properly configured and are not in block-lists.
- Responsible for code and data backups, it's consistency and retention.
- Add/delete/modify user account information, resetting keys and passwords in accordance to 500px security policy.
- Responsibility for documenting current configuration of the system.
- Being "on-call," 24/7, to respond immediately to any system or service failures.
- Respond to and complete Help Desk Tickets within a timely and professional manner.
- Software/Network/DataBase/System performance tuning.
- Supporting the Quality Assurance team in troubleshooting errors.
- Other dut! ies as required.
