Terra Eclipse is seeking a motivated, hands-on Senior Systems Engineer to immediately join our expanding team and assist in producing cutting-edge web applications.
Applicant must possess expert Linux skills, in addition to experience managing large-scale web deployments. Experience with cloud computing platforms (Amazon EC2, Rackspace Cloud, etc.) is a must, with focus on scalability and use of new web technologies such as Node.js and MongoDB.
This is a full-time, salaried position at our East Coast offices in Washington, D.C. Applicant must be willing to cease related freelance and contract work if hired.
No telecommuters or outsourcing firms.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, your primary responsibility will consist of maintaining and monitoring a large cloud server infrastructure, and provisioning new servers as needed. Your secondary responsibility will be developing an understanding of our software stack and devising and implementing str! ategies to maintain security, scalability and fault tolerance across a variety of custom web applications.
