Job opening - Senior Python Services Developer for Elite Team at BaconBox (New York, NY)

BaconBox building a small, nimble product team comprising only leaders in their fields to own the full stack of a consumer Web site: one Wizard of FrontEnd, one Python SOA GrandMaster, and one Renaissance Python Brainiac.

The product revolves around consumer use patterns of marketing email – bacon – the stuff we don’t look at but opt into, anyway. The product makes bacon useful, interesting, and context appropriate.

The product ingests marketing email into a classification pipeline, written in Python (Renaissance Brainiac space). Once associated with meta data and thumbnails, the objects are indexed and stored using a homegrown Python services architecture and PostgreSQL (the domain of the Python SOA GrandMaster) and made available through APIs. Fed through JSON services, the JS Web App front end delights the user (as cast by the FrontEnd Wizard).

This team of three will report to and work closely with the product ! owner, whose vision will drive direction, marketing, and monetization. You will work collaboratively and independently, covering each others’ backs, overlapping to eliminate gaps, and achieving the amazing.
