The Job:
Tumblr is seeking a Platform Engineering Technical Lead who will manage the overall architectural (and team) for platforms of the future. We have a need for someone who is passionate about highly optimized, high throughput, distributed service development who can help us support our growing user base. If sub 5ms latency, 100k+ requests per second, highly available service infrastructure is what you’re good at then read on!
What you’ll do:
- Mentor individual team members
- Define standards for your team to follow
- Lead code reviews
- Design and build tools that excite developers to write and ship code
- Ensure that Tumblr remains fast and available as we grow and release more features
