We are seeking a talented systems administrator to work on systems and network planning, build and maintenance for our global high-frequency trading environment. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of our proprietary trading environment, including Data Center and colocation set-ups, vendor access points, server engineering, network design, hardware/software/connectivity research and systems support across all business areas. Your work will be highly visible within the company and will be critical to the support and success of a wide range of key initiatives.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering from a top university and a strong knowledge of network / connectivity and/or x86_64 Linux server technologies, particularly related to ultra-low latency design. A minimum of 3 years experience supporting a highly reliable, scalable and cost-effective heterogeneous network of computer! s and related communications equipment is required. A strong vendor management background is highly desired. Candidates must have some programming experience (C and/or Java), as well as knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl and Bourne Shell.
