The project
We’re developing a site that will force a major positive change in a large segment of the private entertainment industry. Unfortunately we can’t tell you more until you’ve signed our NDA. It’s pretty awesome though, and we’d love to explain it to you once the necessary paperwork is done. What we can tell you is that you and your significant other (if applicable) need to be comfortable dealing with adult themes and imagery, including things like softcore photos.
What we need
We’re in the final stages of launching our product and we have the majority of the backend code completed (currently written in PHP). We need you to work closely with the UX designer to build and test the front end (Javascript) for the major browsers (Firefox, Chrome, IE 7+, Safari, Mobile Safari, etc), as well as add some new features to the back end PHP. The front end utilizes bootstr! ap and jQuery, and the back end is built to run comfortably on as many servers as it needs to handle the load. Experience with these (bootstrap/jQuery/load balanced web sites) would be an asset.
Long term you’ll be enhancing the code both front and back end in order to add new features, investigate and fix reported bugs, and make the system more stable and efficient. We also have an aggressive new feature schedule - you won’t be bored.
The pitch
Obviously there’s the benefits of a steady full time job with a paycheck (see below for details on that) but you can get that anywhere, and that’s not why you want to work with us. Here’s the important stuff:
- This is a small team - no middle management to suck up to, no sales people to give you unreasonable requirements, just a great team, a great product and the technology supporting it.
- You want to write code. We! already have a project manager to write the specs and IT peop! le to keep the servers running. Now we’re looking for strong coders to get the real work done.
- We’re going to challenge you. You won’t be updating text on a website, you’re helping to build real solutions that will affect a large user base and, with a little luck, a part of society itself (for the better, we think).
- We have a no idiots rule. Our team is made up of some amazing talent, you’ll be working with some highly intelligent and motivated people, you’ll fit right in.
- Our end goal in all cases is a better experience for our users, and you’ll get a chance to contribute to that through your code and your ideas.

Salary and Benefits
Salary in the range of 50-75k depending on your skill set and experience. 90 days after you start we’ll switch you from full-time independent contractor to full-time company employee with a raise, full benefit package including health insuran! ce, paid vacations, quarterly reviews/bonuses, retirement plan, all tha! t good stuff.
