For this particular role, we are looking for a developer comfortable writing HTTP based services in python for a variety of mobile and web clients.
Responsibilities
- Participate in iterative/agile software application development
- Develop high-quality software via TDD/BDD
- Participate in code reviews
- Work closely with team members, designers, and customers to build the right thing, right
- Contribute to the open-source community, author blog posts, speak at meetups and conferences
Our full web-application is a javascript MVC client built using Ember (a fork of SproutCore) that talks to a JSON service that runs on Google App Engine and written in Python. Our mobile strategy i! s to build native apps (iPhone currently, Android next up) that have some sections wrapping a web-based UI, which will also be built using this same web tech-stack. We use QUnit to write front-end unit tests, as well as functional/smoke-screen tests. We practice continuous integration and aim for continuous deployment.
Of course the tech stack is subject to change because we don’t like getting behind on technology, love learning new things, and know our technology needs to evolve with our business.
