We're a writing marketplace. When a client needs content (for example: a blog post comparing different breeds of dog), our platform attempts to match that job to the most qualified writer in our database. The potential "smartness" of this match is pretty much unbounded; your job would be to make the match smarter. Can you deep-dive into natural language processing to determine the essence of a "dog"? Can you mine the previous work of a given writer to determine their skill level in addressing the "pet-owner" demographic? These are the challenges that you'll be facing. Additionally, we want to be more than just a marketplace. We want to build an open-source word-processing platform, complete with revisions, comments, real-time simultaneous editing, etc. This will present an awesome set of engineering problems.
