What we do: Matygo is the Flipped Classroom Platform, the world's first course delivery and analytics engine that allows any school, education, or organization to leverage the same techniques Khan Academy and Udacity have popularized to deliver their own content. Lectures are delivered via hosted high-production videos paired with automatically graded self-assessment quizzes. We provide analytics to instructors that allow for early problem detection, custom tuning of material, and intelligently grouping students into small groups for real-time problem-based learning. We currently integrate with Google Hangouts to provide our real-time classroom.
The goal is to combine proven learning research with technological innovation, in order to deliver measurably more effective online learning experiences than what's common today. We're here to push education forward.
Where you come in: Having jus! t closed a seed round with some top investors, we are looking to expand our founding team with some key first hires in Software Engineering.
We're looking for someone who wants a high-responsibility, high-rewards position to work alongside us in designing, architecting, and building new products and features.
Core technologies: Scala, Javascript/Sproutcore (and Ember.js), MySQL.
Don't sweat if you don't know Scala or Sproutcore. We’re looking for someone with strong foundations, plenty of talent, and evidence of shipping code - we know that person can easily learn whatever language needed.
