Software Development: Design and author major user interface components of web-based GIS software for education.
Software Testing and Documentation: Writing and maintaining test sites for new and existing code, supporting the production of end user reference materials and documentation by creating internal documentation and working with writers of end user documentation.
Coordination with specialists: Working with educational specialists in NGEP and in external partner organizations to develop specifications and requirements for applications, maintaining ongoing communications throughout the design process to ensure that instructional design and software design are coordinated.
GIS Data Management: Projecting, resampling, clipping and otherwise processing GIS data to make it suitable for publication via the web services, producing map documents for publishing to ArcGIS Server.
System Administration: Basic server maintenance,! software installation, configuration and updating, reviewing and approval of user account.
