Resized_logo

Location: San Francisco
URL: http://www.threadflip.com

Threadflip is pioneering a new social shopping experience which is at the intersection of fashion, technology, and commerce. We hope to revolutionize the world of online shopping by providing a new way to discover, buy, and sell fashion.

We’re early stage and seeing strong traction and growth, including revenue from day one. We are well funded, and our investors include First Round Capital, Baseline Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock and Slow Ventures. Check out what the press is saying about us: http://www.threadflip.com/press .

We are a lean, fast-paced, and agile startup, so there is a lot of room for impact: in our code, our product, our culture â€" you name it. You may pitch an idea and then implement it a few days later, or spec out a feature in the morning and push your code to production in the eveni! ng.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for seasoned engineers to join our engineering team of three. Our stack is Rails 3, with Redis and Postgres as our stores. We use HAML/Sass/Coffeescript & jQuery for creating beautiful cross-browser experiences. Our site runs on EC2 (no Heroku) with all of the benefits and challenges that brings. Our ideal candidate is that rare combination of user champion and engineering generalist, with strong product vision and deep technical chops:

  • You are not locked into a certain language or framework â€" you thrive off of picking up new technology and just want to build a smart product.
  • You have excellent full-stack capabilities and are not afraid to jump between writing migrations, pushing open source code, or writing delightful Javascript.
  • You feel like all your y! ears of software development experience have been preparing yo! u for something great, and you’re hungry enough to take the leap.
