MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (Position Summary)
- The Web Developer will help support, enhance and extend our Current Web Application. This current Web Application is built on new technologies and framework, and is leveraged by our Agents to sell insurance products to our customer base.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following programming languages: ASP.NET, C Sharp (C#), Visual Basic.NET (VB.NET) and SQL (SQL)
- Experience with MonRail, Dojo Toolkit and NHibernate.
- Experience developing web services based systems integrations
- Experience developing web solutions with Content Management systems
- Experience designing and developing Web pages with HTML5 and CSS
- Part of the d! evelopment team that maintains a suite of web applications.
- Identify and implement improvements to augment the IT team’s efficiency and consistency.
- Perform root cause analysis on systems issues with web applications.
- Work with Affirmative BAs and Business Liaisons drive end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC):
- Design, Build and Test system defects/enhancements.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing.
- Work with Project Managers to deliver system releases to production on time with a high level of quality.
- Work with IT management to maintain IT quality improvement initiatives.
- Identify, monitor and track key IT metrics.
- Report weekly status to development lead or application manager.
- Highly motivated, willing to tackle a wide range of projects.
- Ability to create a work-plan and deliver on the milestones iden! tified on the work-plan.
