This is our “Big Data” strategy focus. Our Data Services organization in IDC is a highly talented team of data professionals that have deep expertise in analytics, data systems and tools and closely partner with our major businesses and help them achieve their business goals by leveraging the wealth of data that we have.

We are seeking an experienced leader for our India based Engineering team. This is a new position to work with our well-established India operation. You will be a key person responsible for leading the talented organization we have in India, while partnering with the organization in the US to take Data Services-IDC to the next level of being a Center of Excellence for data technologies that the business needs now and in the future. You will also be a part of the India Leadership Team and will have an opportunity to collaborate closely with the other Intuit businesses that are all co-located in the microcosm here in I! ntuit India. This is a fantastic ground floor opportunity with! in a stable growing organization. 

The key requirement here is strong leadership experience building, leading and mentoring teams of SaaS software product developers using Big Data technologies.  The Director of Engineering for Data Services will have a successful history of building and motivating strong, world-class teams, applying strategic thinking, and executing effectively to deliver a track record of sustained accomplishments â€" especially in the field of Big Data or large distributed systems. 

You must be adept at working with globally distributed teams and have experience leading teams in the US and India in highly successful software product development environments. Major emphasis will be placed on the person’s leadership skills, ability to hire outstanding talent and coach them to success, form strong trusted relationships with key stakeholders as well as with their employees, foster an innovative environment and above all grounded on a strong sense of integrity and values.

Your Talents:

• A degree in Computer Science, preferably a Masters or a PhD with 15-20 years of experience in the software product industry, particularly related to data, including “Big Data."
• Thought leader on large scale data systems, analytics, tools and small business and/or consumer data driven offerings with a proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering results that have helped grow the business. 
• Experience with social and mobile offerings would be a plus. 
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality software to customers that deliver business results. A passion for building a great working environment where the best want to work and stay.
• A laser focus on outstanding business outcomes with effective and fast decision making that takes into account the interests of all three key stakeholders â€" employees, customers and shareholders.
• A strong technology background, particularly around data (including “Big Data” an! d/or large-scale distributed systems and processing), coupled with experience in making the right tradeoffs that get the job done well.
• Must be very comfortable with Agile methodologies in order to be able to arrive at difficult engineering decisions quickly.
• Proven ability to lead teams both in the US and India with prior experience working in a similar role in both locations
• Ability to work well through ambiguity, confidence in making tough calls and leading through adversity with a sharp focus on the eventual right outcomes.
• Domain understanding of financial, particularly in payments industry, will be plus.
