Python Web Developer

We are looking for software engineers to develop web-based applications in Python and Javascript. The right candidate has experience building web applications and understands how the web works from top to bottom. Excellent communication skills are a must.

Requirements

• BS in Computer! Science or equivalent


• Strong experience in a dynamic programming language such as Python, Ruby, Perl, PHP


• Understanding of Object-oriented programming


• Experience in database programming: MySQL preferred

Desirable

• HTML, Javascript, Ajax, jQuery


• Version control experience with git, svn or other


• Familiarity with MVC/MVT frameworks


• Experience developing/designing large scale software systems


• Experience with distributed computing and messaging systems


• Web APIs


• Experience writing unit, functional and integration tests


• Knowledgeable of various Agile methodologies and practices

Personal

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Able to commit and ! follow through on projects and tasks


• Self-starte! r who is comfortable working with others in a small, dynamic environment


• Interested in open-source technologies
