Geocent is in need of an experienced System Analyst for our growing team in Monterey, CA working on a project with the Department of Defense.
Qualified candidates will be required to have the following experience:
- A Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting software
- 1 year of experience in application analysis and software version control
- Ability to identify, trouble shoot, and correct operational problems as required
1 year of experience in the following shell and programming languages:
- LINUX or Unix
- Shell scripting for LINUX/Unix environment
- Tcl/Tk language
Knowledge in the following is highly desirable:
- Java servlets
- PERL
- FORTRAN
- PBSPro
- GrADS graphics
- GMT graphics
- Apache Tomcat
- PGI, OpenMPI, or INTEL MPI
Ability to perform and assist in the Operational Test of application software to include:
- Configuring test areas
- Running a controlled experiment
- Archiving results for analysis and verification
- Calculating results using verification software, and writing the Operational Test Report
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with people on all experience levels
- Strong communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to be highly self-directed and work closely within a team
Other Requirements:
- All candidates are required to be US citiz! ens
- Candidates must also hold an active DOD Secr! et Clearance or have the ability to obtain an Interim Clearance
- Qualified candidates must have a degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent work experience
