Overview
We are seeking a creative and energetic designer who understands fundamental usability and aesthetic principals and best practices to design, effectively develop, and refine our web & mobile software user interfaces.

Responsibilities
Conduct user requirements analysis with project stakeholders to identify key current and future customer needs.
Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, interaction flows, and visual mock-ups and prototypes based on business requirements.
Effectively lead UI design and communicate vision and options to project team members and leadership, incorporating feedback throughout the development lifecycle.
Code and maintain creative, simple, and highly usable software user interface solutions in collaboration with application developers in a team environment.
Develop and maintain a standard set of CSS and HTML templates for reuse and behavioral consistency throughout our software.
Assist with new user interface testing and participate in usability reviews to get feedback on new designs.
Remain current on user interface design trends and designing techniques.
Suggest new tools and methods to improve development efficie! ncy and assist team members in improving their skills.
 

Experience
2-5 years experience in user interface design.
Experience developing standards-compliant cross-browser  and cross platform designs.
An outstanding portfolio demonstrating the successful delivery of innovative software UI design solutions.
 

Skills
Exceptional skills and experience creating different types of wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes (including working with HTML/CSS/Illustrator/Photoshop/Etc.).
Exceptional understanding of fundamental design disciplines (composition, information architecture, color theory, typography and animation) and principals of good user interface design (consistency, simplicity, usability, etc.).
Advanced proficiency with CSS and HTML and thorough knowledge of browser rendering differences / capabilities.
Strong knowledge of rendering behavior (HTML / CSS) for IE browsers, in particular IE 6 and 7, required.
Flash Action Script / Flex knowledge a plus.
Detail-oriented and able to consistently produce simple design solutions to complex problems.
Organizational ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple projects and shifting priorities.
Experience with an agile / XP based development approach preferred.

Education
Bachelors degree in a related field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, HCI, Interactive Design, etc.).
