Natera is a rapidly growing biotech company with a mission to help families have healthy children. The ideal candidate for this position is detail oriented with strong SQL and Java experience. You will be working top to bottom from our Java based laboratory systems, to helping design and improve our operational processes. You should be enthusiastic about understanding our business processes, passionate about delivering quality work, and excited about learning new technologies.
Duties
As a diagnostic laboratory, we collect a massive amount of very complex data. We need to slice and dice that data every day to gain insight into our science and biology, guide research and development, and make better business decisions. Your responsibilities will be to:
- Learn the structure of Natera's data models and databases
- Ensure consistency and validity of production and research d! ata
- Design and implement Hibernate data models for production and research needs
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and data extraction
- Support and enhance existing Java-based lab systems
- Design and build new data entry systems
- Actively build tools and processes to make data more accessible
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
