Ronin Capital is seeking a Senior Applications Developer for full time employment. This high visibility position entails creating and maintaining the overall system architecture for a high frequency trading platform. This IT position will require successful candidates to participate in all aspects of the software development cycle and to partner closely with trading groups. Expertise in systems design, programming and integration of high-volume, low latency applications is necessary for this role. This position will be based in our Chicago, IL office.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with traders to understand business requirements and design efficient and scalable solutions based on technical expertise and experience
- Design automated, high performance trading systems
- Design, develop, test, rollout and maintain trading framework
- Work with quantit! ative researchers and traders to facilitate integration of trading strategies into the Ronin trading platform
- Create and maintain up-to-date work plans while effectively communicating status
- Keep pace with new technologies and the industry trends
- Follow firm and industry standards, procedures and methodologies for development of efficient application systems (i.e. design, design reviews, architecture reviews and code reviews)
- Perform related duties as required
