WorkSimple is looking for a meticulous front-end developer with Rails experience. We have offices in Minneapolis and San Francisco, but working remote is just fine too.
Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript including JS frameworks (jQuery, Prototype, etc).
- Creative/UX thinking
- Experience with Ruby on Rails coding and/or working with Rails teams
Day-to-Day:
- Collaborate on product designs and turn these into well-implemented, functional user interfaces
- Spend 80% of your time on the front-end, but occasionally dip into Ruby on Rails to tweak and modify code as needed
- Work with the back-end development team to build an interactive web application
- Diagnose client-side errors, front-end performance bottlenecks and incompatibilities and implement fixes! and optimizations
The ideal candidate:
- Familiarity with CoffeeScript, jQuery, Spine.js, twitter-bootstrap, and compass
- Comfortable in Photoshop
- Cares about code quality and takes pride ensuring work is accessible, maintainable and cross-browser compliant
