Our client is seeking a Ruby on Rails (RoR) and PHP developer who is interested in being part of a small team that is developing amazing applications and APIs. If you do not have a ton (or any) PHP experience but are willing to learn it please contact me.
The ideal candidate can either be located in the Washington, DC Metro area or Atlanta, GA. Very little travel is required but at least a willingness is needed when times require.
This is a full-time, fully benefited position with my client.
Position Requirements:
• BS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent Degree preferred
• US citizen (with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance)
• Strong problem solving, debugging, and analytical skills
Languages and Frameworks:
- Ruby / Ruby on Rails (2+ years of experience)
- Twitter Bootstrap
- jQuery / jQueryUI
- RSpec, Cucumber (Test Driven Development tools)
- PHP / PHP Framework (Yii, Codeigniter) is a plus
- Java
- HTML / CSS / XML
Application Development:
- Experience with secure RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of Business Rules Engines
- Passionate about UI / UX
- Test Driven Development
- Familiar with Agile / Iterative development principles
