The successful candidate will be joining our highly-skilled and agile-focussed development team, taking a leading role in continuing the development of our flagship application on the iPhone and iPad platform. Occassionally you might prefer to work from home, but predominantly you'd be working in our Southampton office where we are lucky to be adjacent to a conservation area. We all work hard to meet the needs of our customers, but you'll be doing so in a relaxed setting.
The individual will be responsible for guiding the decisions around the usage of that platform and the right tools, frameworks and libraries to be used in order to exploit the underlying hardware to its full potential.
Our product allows our customers to develop their own form-based applications utilising our web-based design surfaces, very similar in principle to the development of an IDE. Successful delivery of this role therefore requires individuals! to really put themselves in the place of our customers IT staff and consider what they might want to be able to do with the product - and then work to facilitate that in the most accessible way possible.
The successful candidate will also be enhancing our web-based Management Studio, our suite of .NET web services, and ultimately working on other mobile platforms as well. This hire, like most new roles at 1st Touch, will join 1st Touch as a specialist but will be encouraged to take on other skills and technologies learning from other team members as they do so.
