Job opening - Perl Software Developer for PeopleSeePeople at PeopleSeePeople (New York, NY) (telecommute)

PeopleSeePeople is about first impressions. The core feature of the service is to rate other people’s pictures and to have your picture rated by other people. It is a true impression tool based upon academic parameters. It is not a “Hot or Not” type service.

We recently finished the beta version of the service – based upon a PostgreSQL, XML, Perl, HTML technology stack – which is soon to launch for a limited pilot.

We are looking for an experienced Perl programmer and system administrator who can launch the service with our current programmer with the aim to taking over sole responsibility for the service on July 4th.

We need to recruit this position because our current programmer is moving to other work within our wider business interests.
