The world’s largest travel site (located in Bellevue, WA) is looking for a talented Development Manager and Sr. Developer for the Online Partner Development (OPD) team, part of the Worldwide Engineering team. On this team, you will utilize your critical thinking and technical skills to help directly drive our success and will be instrumental in leading expansion into the loyalty space.
As a Development Manager/Sr. Java Developer for OPD, you will be chartered with building and maintaining new loyalty sites for external partners as well as our internal loyalty program. You will interface with business owners, testers, and other members of the EWE team as you play a major role in a new product line. This work includes all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning to rollout to maintenance, and includes all parts of the development stack. Play a major role on this exciting team as we expands into new markets and businesses!

Responsibilities:
• Design and write code for standards-based travel applications that scale to high-volume production quality.
• Engineer a world-class platform for partner loyalty travel sites.
• Prototype creative solutions quickly, and be able to collaborate with others in crafting and implementing your technical vision.
• Make a clear impact by leveraging your strong background in Java programming.
• Contribute and collaborate in creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions, while working with existing Expedia technologies and infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation.
Preferred:
• Manage a medium! -sized team of developers (both on and offshore) to design and! implement new loyalty sites.
