Hachi Labs is gearing up for a major launch and is expanding its team. We are looking for a few rock solid coders to take the product to the next key level. If you "day-dream" of building a kickass product that millions of users would absolutely love to use... then, this is a fabulous opportunity for you!

If you have the skills, confidence and heart to solve some complex database, search and algorithms related problems, but you are stuck with a mundane job - do ping us! 

We are looking for folks who would "own" the product and lead it to the next level - you will have the freedom, and ofcourse the responsibil! ity. You will be involved in designing and shaping the product - not just executing on the engineering side. An appetite for startup rollercoaster ride is an absolute must for this role. And so is the openness to think and work beyond the 9-to-5 office-hour mindset.

We are an early stage startup - speed and execution are our weapons. We'll expect a lot from you - in terms, of finding quick and clever solutions, under tight deadlines... but hey, we also promise an opportunity to solve some complex computer science challenges, coupled with an exhilarating and fulfilling experience of building something that solves a real problem!

ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Solve complex technical problems related to 'databases' and 'search' keeping long term scalability needs in mind
- Algorithmic challenges related to the graph and 'smartness' of the solution we are building
- Programming in CakePHP, Javascript/JQuery
- Clustering, High Availability, Hadoop
- Find clever and quick solutions
- Testing and bug fixing
- Delivering withi! n tight timelines
- Be flexible to pick up new technologies as required


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- B. Tech in Computer Science
- Minimum 2 years of web product development experience
- Minimum 1 year experience programming in PHP / CakePHP
- Experience with distributed architecture, load balancing
- Good working knowledge of Algorithms
- Familiarity with graph databases
- Sound understanding of setting up web servers, database servers
- Sound working knowledge of MVC architecture
- Knowledge of LinkedIn, Facebook API integrations
- Good understanding of programming best practices, programming standards, code commenting and documentation.
