Roles and responsibilities:

• Design and code high quality, well designed web 2.0 user interfaces
• Understand and solve cross-browser compatibility issues
• Be responsible for the performance of the web pages in terms of page load times, page size, etc.
• Collaborate with other UI and server-side engineers
• Deliver in short iterations
• Pro-actively engage in architecture and design of products
• Actively use best practices in coding and design
• Mentor junior developers

Skill set:

• Expert level knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Knowledge of Flash/Flex is a strong plus
• Knowledge of performance, cross-browser issues and strategies for designing compatible UI
• Experience with JSON, XML 
• Good knowledge and hands on in:
Browser-server interactions
Event and object modeling
DOM manipulation
Programming patterns
AJAX libraries and tools
• Strong knowledge of OO design, common web design patterns and MVC modeling.
• Experience using web frameworks like YUI, jQuery, etc. 
• Self-driven
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
