We’re looking to hire our next developer, and this person will be number six of Team Cozy. As a web app developer at Cozy, you’ll know and work in the entire production environment. You’ll have opinions on the way things should be done, and more importantly be able to clearly articulate the reasons for why you think the way you do. You can easily go between development thinking and microscopic design detail all day long.

Developers at Cozy are customer-focused, creative and constantly try new things, showing them off when they work well, scrapping them when they don’t. As many design ideas come from our developers as from our designers, and while we’re an opinionated bunch, the focus on awesome customer experiences always trump egos or cleverness for the sake of cleverness.

Who we’re looking for

• Someone who has a track record of building great products.
• Javascript is 49% of our code base. You should be comfortable and effective outside of JS frameworks.
• Ruby is most of the other 51% (not on Rails). A working knowledge of Ruby outside of Rails is awesome.
• A slightly obsessive focus on user experience. Our customers are everything.
• You know how to choose, configure, start, and tune various web/app servers, database services, cache systems, etc.
You’re not scared to try something completely new if it mak! es sense. You also know when it makes sense, and why.
• You are always looking to make things better/faster/stronger.
• The ability to work really closely with designers.
