As a Veson Nautical Software Engineer, you will help improve, develop and ensure timely delivery of current and new products. You will prepare specifications, design, code, test, document, and support software that makes Veson Nautical stand out from the competition. You will collaborate with QA to develop effective test plans to assure high-quality software. You may improve current products, maintain internal systems or help design and implement future planned products.
Technology
Currently, Veson Nautical products are built primarily with C++, C#, XHTML, AJAX and CSS.
Requirements
- Experience developing complex Windows-based applications using C++ and C# required
- Experience developing web-based applications using HTML, CSS, XSL, JavaScript, and AJAX desired
- Working knowledge of SQL (with SQL server preferred)
- Able to work independently and in small teams
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Track record of applying new technologies and learning new languages to solve problems
- Excels at working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Able to efficiently move between multiple tasks and adapt to changing requirements
- Proactive, positive approach to work
