We’re looking for a talented and experienced senior quality engineer with a strong background in C/C++ and basic knowledge of one of scripting languages (UNIX shell / Python / JavaScript) to join the Qik iPhone engineering team.
The Qik iPhone team is working on mobile social video application. It provides the functionality of real-time video streaming to the web, sharing recorded videos with a friends. Follow your friends video experience using the live feed.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as a part of project team and keep responsibility for quality of product:
- Responsibility for all aspects of test lifecycle
- Prepare and document different types of test scenarios (functional test, regression tests, etc)
- Test automation system implementation, continuous improvement, introducing new relevant metrics, add test cases and scenarios, report generation
- Receive knowledge from developers and product managers about functional domain, directly communicate with developers, managers from different teams to solve issues and understand valid software behavior
- Analyzing problems using logs to help understanding root cause of issue, understanding whole client-server system architecture, composing whole picture of what is happening.
- Working closely with developers to resolve issues and retesting until fixed
- Track status of software, analyze trends and metrics to help improving development process
- Participate in architecture planning, spec preparing, providing information about current software capabilities (working features, capacity, response time, etc)
- Delivering new test automation solutions across multi-tiered mobile applications
- Participate in release planning, bug triaging.
