ZeroCater is redesigning the office lunch. We think every office would be better if people sat down together over great, fresh food from local restaurants every day. We coordinate those lunches, taking care of dietary restrictions, food quantities, personal preferences, and much much more.
This turns out to be a fascinating project to work on. Our problems sit at the intersection of social and software engineering - how do you get restaurant owners to deliver consistently great food, always on time? How do you keep updated dietary information for every employee in an office of 150 without bugging everyone there all the time? How can you build an order tracker that checks deliveries and can run on autopilot?
We're starting to take off and the problems are growing in difficulty. You'll be our third engineer, so you'll have a ton of responsibility and input in the early-stage growth of our company. We hire generalists - we want people wh! o can think up clever solutions fast, learn new skills quickly, and are excited about the possibility of working on system administration and CSS in the same day.
