We're hiring! We're Arrowsight, a video integration and data analysis company, and we need to expand our engineering staff. We've been covered in media outlets like New York Times, Bloomberg and CNBC for our innovative work in video monitoring. We're looking for professionals with a passion for database performance and reliability.
We're a small, quickly growing company where you'll be maintaining, tuning and extending the applications that directly contribute to our bottom line, giving you an ideal launching pad for the first or next stage in your career. This is a great opportunity for a DBA looking to extend their strengths into database programming and ETL/SSIS, or for a SQL programmer with DBA experience looking to broaden their strengths in database technology. Our entire architecture is on the MS SQL Server 2008 R2 version.
Ideally, your core strength should be SQL programming, but if you are a SQL server DBAwith good programming s! kills and experience with technologies such as replication and log shipping, you will be a fit. If you know some C#, that's even better, as you'll be able to contribute to extending our web services as well. If you're used to working in a Scrum or Agile shop, you should fit in well here!
All in all, a great place to kick your career up to the next level. We offer competitive pay packages, standard benefits packages like 401K and medical, continuous training and a casual atmosphere where the focus is on productivity. You'll work onsite at our corporate headquarters in Mount Kisco, north of White Plains and a 15-minute walk from the nearest Metro North station.
About our architecture: Our primary production database is about 40 GB in size and growing rapidly. We also have an OLAP database of about the same size, and use replication and log shipping for both scaleout and disaster recovery.
