Deal Labs is looking for a Ruby on Rails programmer to be paired with an outside Rails developer completing our MVP.
Deal Labs is taking advantage of monumental changes to the securities laws to help companies and partnerships raise capital (note, though, this is not crowdfunding).
We’re out to bring great investors to great companies and partnerships of all types, and disrupt the current process of raising capital - - which, if y ou have ever been an entrepreneur, you know is a difficult challenge.
We are a banker (ex- Goldman Sachs), a securities lawyer (ex-Tesla Motors) and an extended team to build a great product. We're in Redwood City, and may eventually re-locate to the City.
These are real-world problems that we are solving. The opportunity for innovation is endless. We don’t merely support our clients, we give them life and growth, and the opportunity to make an impact has never been greater.
You should have:
- a strong Ruby and Rails knowledge (Rails 3 preferred)
- JavaScript knowledge (more like a "comfortable" than "expert") on both the front end and back end, and hopefully coffeescript experience
- experience with automated testing with one or more major testing framework is fine
- a love of Git and Github
- good knowledge of HTML5 & CSS3 (bonus points for HAML and SASS experience), as well as all the cross-browser issues that drive everyone crazy.
Note that we are not venture funded, and not looking for VC funding - - but we think that over the near term and long term you'll be quite happy with how well you are compensated.
