The site launched in Oct 2009 is already the largest All Sports website in India with over 4 million page views a month. An army of 1200 contributing writers, loyal readership in millions. Sportskeeda is on an aggressive plan to build a robust technology platform for the next generation Sports website.

At Present we are hunting for a CTO who can drive the technology strategy & direction, as part of the company"s core leadership team. 

Product 

Imagine a large network of Sports fans interacting socially over exciting content. . Imagine huge streams of content, passionate fans , adrenalin rush , live commentary pages, one click information , one click comments. Will you like to mastermind / own the next generation sports website which will be used by m! illions of sports fans on a hourly basis?

Role

* Drive the technology strategy & direction as part of the companys core leadership team
* Scale the product to support tens of millions of active users whilst delivering a sub second response time
* Lead the product engineering team throughout the development lifecycle and be responsible for product delivery on-time and within budget
* Build a culture of innovation within the technology team to ensure the company builds a high quality product
* Provide a better user experience. Drive and have a passion for user engagement, conduct research required for new products and ongoing engineering improvements, define delighting factors that will make the product a unique, indispensable solution for our customer
* Work closely with product, sales, marketing & support teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met
* Be closely involved in defining the product offering (Internet an! d Mobile), requirements gathering, change management, project ! management, customer experience and engineering operations
* Be responsible for entire IT setup of the company, both for internal systems and external customer facing applications
* Constantly investigate emerging technologies & techniques, research ongoing industry trends, make appropriate recommendations to the management for enhancements
* Driving definition and delivery for various product releases by working closely with the engineering and cross-functional teams
* Demonstrate a high bar in sourcing, hiring and managing a world-class software development team
* Provide leadership, vision and focus to deeply technical and very bright engineers and architects
* Participate in board-level discussions, meetings with investors and strategic partners

Skills & Requirements

* Overall 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least the last 5 years in a senior technology role at a leading consumer internet company
* Strong t! echnical & product background with the ability to expand and lead a team of strong software engineers
* Strong experience in the latest web technologies (LAMP stack, modular HTML, Java  Script, jQuery, PHP) and awareness of web standards
* Experience with object oriented design experience and design patterns
* Experience across the full product lifecycle - design, development, testing and Implementation
* Must demonstrate strong business capabilities and a passion to drive customer satisfaction
* Strong project management experience defining tasks, allocating tasks, work breakdown structure, planning resource requirements and project timelines
* Experience selecting vendors, defining service levels, contract negotiation, and service delivery monitoring and administration
* Strong team player with an energetic, pleasant personality; ability to work at a cross functional level and be comfortable with board level interaction
* Passionate about tec! hnology & web-products
* Excellent communication skills, an atti! tude to get things done and willingness to work in a high-growth startup environment is mandatory
